Anti-Spyware

The anti-spyware service protects your computer by detecting and removing or quarantining spyware programs before they can damage your computer.

You can turn this service on or off on the Anti-Spyware page.

How it works

• TELUS Anti-Spyware analyzes basic information about every file that is opened, saved, or downloaded.
• Anti-Spyware will attempt to remove the spyware from the infected file. If it is unable to remove the spyware, it will quarantine the spyware

Features include:

• Continuous real-time spyware check
• Informs user when a spyware is detected, removed or requires an action
• Conducts scheduled scan for computer
• User can choose between Quick scan, Full scan or Custom scan for specific folders and drives
• Scans computer files opened, saved, downloaded and attachments in emails
• Options to automatically delete files with signs of threat
• Displays history of the threats resolved and spyware cookies deleted
• Displays scan results report after completion of scan
• Exception list to ignore specific files or folders during scans
