Anti-Virus
The Anti-virus service protects the user's computer from online threats like viruses, Trojan horses, and worms. Virus protection detects and removes these threats on the computer or other computers on the network.
You can turn this service on or off on the Anti-Virus page.
How it works
- TELUS Anti-Virus service continuously runs in background to check for viruses whenever a file is opened, saved, or downloaded.
- When a threat is found, an action (either clean or delete) is performed.
- Real-time scanning protects you if an infected Email attachment is executed.
- Executed infected attachments will be quarantined by real-time scans.
- Attachments that are saved by your email client to the "Temp" folder will also be scanned.
