Privacy Manager

The Privacy Manager service protects your personal information by alerting you when your protected personal information is transmitted over the Internet.

You can turn this service on or off in the Privacy Manager page.

How it works

• TELUS Privacy Manager monitors the HTTP traffic and any proxy server port for sensitive and identifies protected information.
• When any protected data is about to be transmitted through web forms, it will be detected and you will be alerted.

Features include

• Three predefined categories of personal information: email address, phone number & credit card.
• You can add, delete or edit new personal information categories.
• Partial keyword matches.
• Displays history of protected information blocked by the Privacy Manager.
• The option to temporarily disable protection

Privacy Manager service will NOT:

• Support https traffic because encrypted information cannot be filtered.
• Allow adding more than 20 categories of personal information.
