System requirements

Supported Operating Systems

  • Windows 7 (Ultimate, Professional, and Home Premium) 32-bit and 64-bit
  • Windows Vista (Ultimate, Business, Home Premium, and Home Basic) 32-bit and 64-bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher
  • Windows XP (Professional, Home, Tablet, and Media editions) 32-bit with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher

Note:

64-bit versions of Windows XP are not supported.

Disk Space: 900 MB

Monitor: High-color display with a resolution of 800x600 pixels or higher

Hardware

Must meet minimum Windows operating system requirements as per Microsoft recommendations:

  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows XP
  • 350 MHz or faster processor (800 MHz recommended)
  • 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended)

Internet Connection

An Internet connection is required to activate TELUS Internet Security Suite and to obtain updates. Broadband connection recommended.

Web Browsers

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 or later
  • Mozilla Firefox 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 or later (Web Reputation service not supported for 4.0 or later)
  • Google Chrome 3.0 or later (Web Reputation service not supported for Chrome or Safari)

Note:

  • TELUS security services support for PC only.
  • The Web Reputation service does not support 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
  • The Web Reputation service does not support Internet Explorer 6.
  • The Web Reputation support for Mozilla Firefox (version 4 or higher) is available through a hotfix. Please contact us at 310-4NET to obtain the hotfix.
  • The Web Reputation service does not support Google Chrome or Apple Safari.
  • The Parental controls and web Threat Protection services support all major web browsers including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
