What you need

All you'll need to get started is an Xbox 360 Starter Kit and an Xbox LIVE Gold membership. The starter kit includes a universal media remote control and all the necessary cables to get your Xbox 360 set-up as an additional digital box. And if you have a Kinect for your Xbox 360, you get the added features of gesture and voice control.

* To use the Xbox as a digital box, a starter kit is required, at a one-time fee of $50. Xbox must have an internal hard drive and be used in conjunction with an Optik HD PVR or HD digital box. An Xbox LIVE Gold membership is required; annual fee charged separately. Existing Optik TV customers wishing to enable their Xbox 360 as a digital box need to book a TELUS technician visit. $100 fee applies.

* Offer available until June 4th, 2012, to TELUS residential customers on a 3 year TELUS TV and Internet service agreement who have not subscribed to TELUS TV or Internet service in the past 90 days. Offer not available with High Speed Lite. Current equipment rental rates will apply at the end of the 3 year term. Manufacturer's suggested retail price of the Xbox 360 + Kinect is $299. A cancellation fee applies for early termination of the service agreement and will be $10/month for the equipment and $8/month for the Xbox 360, multiplied by number of months remaining in the term. Rental equipment must be returned upon cancellation of service. Minimum system requirements apply.
