Learn how to update the name displayed with messages sent from your TELUS Business email account.
Each email you send has an accompanying
display name
which is shown when your message is received. For example: Emails will show as being sent from David Smith (display name) instead of DSmith (username) or DSmith@telus.net (email address).
You can change the display name of your TELUS Business email account within your Google Account settings:
You cannot change your display name from the Gmail app on your mobile device.
How to change your TELUS Business email display name
to open your Google Account page in a new browser window/tab
From your Google Account page, select
Personal info
From the
Basic info
section, select
Name
Enter your
TELUS Business email account password
when prompted
Select the
pencil icon
to edit your display name
Enter your desired
First name
and/or
Last name
, then select
Done
Note
: If you get an error that says "This setting can't be changed for your account," it may mean you've changed your name too many times during a short period of time. Please contact your admin for details.
