Make a 3-way call on your office phone

Step-by-step instructions for making a 3-way call, plus pricing information

Add a third party to your call

  1. Ask your first caller to hold

  2. Press your receiver, link or flash button for one second

  3. Listen for three short beeps, followed by a dial tone

  4. Dial the number of the third person

  5. When he or she answers, press your receiver, link or flash button to establish your three-way connection

  6. If the third person's line is busy or there is no answer, press your receiver, link or flash button twice to return to the person on hold

  7. If one of the people you have called hangs up you can continue to talk with the other caller. Everyone is disconnected when you hang up

Notes
:

  • The initiator of a 3-way call will be billed for all applicable long-distance charges

  • If 3-Way Calling is not part of your Home Phone package, it will cost $3 per use up to a maximum of $15 a month

Troubleshoot 3-Way Calling

  1. Your account may have a pay-per-use block on it. This will prevent you from using any features that are pay-per-use.

    to your account and check whether you have a pay-per-use block added. You can

    to get this block removed

  2. If it appears the problem is with your telephone, consider getting it checked where you purchased it

  3. From the front of the phone, check for any buttons marked link or flash. You should use those buttons to start a 2-way call

  4. Try unplugging the power adapter of the telephone, and plug it back in again

  5. If more than one telephone is available in the home, try making a 3-way call from each handset

  6. If it appears the problem is with your phone, consider getting it checked where you purchased it
