TELUS Disney+ Premium on Optik Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your subscription to the Premium tier of the Disney+ service (“Disney+”) on Optik TV with TELUS.

Disney+ is a video subscription service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Disney+ app or the

website. Disney+, including all content, is provided by Buena Vista International, Inc. (“Disney”). Your use of Disney+ is subject to the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, available at

, which is an agreement between you and Disney. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Disney+ through TELUS. Your use of the Disney+ service is subject to The Walt Disney Company Privacy Policy, and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Canada, available at

Minimum Requirements

To use Disney+ you must have a compatible device in accordance with the Disney Subscriber Agreement. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe. You must set up a MyTELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your Disney+ subscription through TELUS. To order Disney+ on Optik TV a la carte or as your Premium option you must subscribe to an Optik TV package.

Activation

Once you sign up for a Disney+ subscription through TELUS and authenticate your account, you will receive an email prompting you to activate your Disney+ subscription. The steps are outlined below:

    Billing

    If you are adding Disney+ a la carte, TELUS will charge you the current in market retail subscription rate plus applicable taxes each month until you cancel your subscription to the Disney+ service through your MyTELUS account. Pricing for Disney+ is available here

    and is subject to change. If Disney+ is being added as your selected Premium option in your Optik TV package, the cost of the subscription will be included in your package price.

    Disney+ is not available with all TV plans. Eligibility for TV plans may vary by customer address. Final eligibility for the services will be determined by a TELUS representative.

    Any additional purchase you may make through Disney+ will be made directly through Disney+ and will not be chargeable through your MyTELUS account.

    Pre existing Subscription

    If you already have a Disney+ direct-billed subscription for the same or a lower subscription tier, it will be automatically paused until your subscription via TELUS ends or changes to a lower subscription tier.

    If you already have a subscription to Disney+ through a third party, you will be required to manage your subscription before activating a subscription via TELUS to avoid charges associated with having multiple subscriptions. Billing will not be prorated.

    After you have logged into MyTELUS using your new or existing credentials, you can use the subscriptions page to activate Disney+ using the “activate” button. Upon clicking the activate button, you will be taken to disneyplus.com to complete activation.

    Cancellation

    You are able to cancel your Disney+ subscription with TELUS at any time by changing your Optik TV Premium selection or your a la carte selection by logging into your MyTELUS account at telus.com/MyTELUS. If you cancel during your billing cycle, you will see prorated charges for the remaining days of the month, if applicable. TELUS may also cancel your Disney+ subscription, at our sole discretion and without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. Disney+ may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement. No refund will be given in case of revocation, unless required by applicable law.

    Once your Disney+ subscription is canceled with TELUS, if you had a pre-existing Disney+ subscription that was billed directly with Disney, it will resume upon cancellation. After you cancel your Disney+ subscription with TELUS, it is your responsibility to manage any Disney+ subscription that is billed directly or via a third party, if you would no longer like to maintain a subscription to the Disney+ service or wish to make any change to your related subscription.
