The TELUS is now part of the TELUS Connect app and more helpful than ever. The TELUS Connect app will help you set up and configure your new TELUS equipment and services. With it, you'll also be able to get detailed information and troubleshooting tips for your Optik TV and Internet equipment and services.

TELUS Connect app

allows you to get the best out of your TELUS internet subscription.

If you do not have the TELUS Connect app, visit

Using the TELUS Connect app, you can:

At this time, the TELUS Connect app is not available to Business accounts or to select customers who subscribe to our Rural Internet plans.

You will need your My TELUS account credentials to log in to the TELUS Connect app. If you don’t have a My TELUS account, you can register online in a couple of minutes at

using the account number included in your order notification email or in your bill statement.

If you do not log in, you will not be able to take advantage of all the features available to you.

If you also have a Mobility account with TELUS, please ensure that you log in to My TELUS with the email address that's linked to your Home Internet account to enjoy the features of the TELUS Connect app. If you log in with a Mobility account that's not linked, you will be asked to link it.

The TELUS Connect app can help with step-by-step instructions on how to self-install TELUS equipment, like your modem, Boost Wi-Fi or your TV digital boxes.

Use the TELUS Connect app to

install a Network Access Hub

The TELUS Connect app makes it easy to recognize the devices in your network. The information about devices on your network will often improve over time.

Keep in mind that all devices connected to your Wi-Fi network will appear on the TELUS Connect app. This includes SmartHome devices, printers, and more.

A device removed this way will show up the next time it connects. Forgetting a device does not pause the internet on the device if it reconnects. To pause internet access, please see the “Pause your Wi-Fi” section.

Please note that changing your network name or password will disconnect all your currently connected devices from your network. This includes mobile devices, printers, tablets, security devices and more. You will need to reconnect each of them using the new network settings.

TELUS Network Security applies a security layer to your modem that identifies and blocks threats to your home network to protect you from malicious web content, unauthorized access attempts, and abnormal behaviour from devices on your network.

This feature is currently only available to

TELUS Online Security

or

Wi-Fi Plus

subscribers, and will only impact devices connected to your home network. Devices on mobile networks or on a Virtual Private Network (VPN) will not be protected.

Navigate to the Tab to enable or manage this feature, or to view blocked threats.

TELUS Network Security blocks entire websites as well as sections of websites that might be malicious. A malicious section of a website could be an advertisement or a plugin to the website.

Adult content controls will block selected profiles from accessing websites categorized as “adult” or “rated R”. This feature is limited to web browsers only, not to applications. Adult and rated R content will not be blocked when connected to a cellular network or on Wi-Fi outside of your home.
