For TELUS team members, sustainability starts at home

Dec 6, 2022

Since 2010, TELUS has embraced a hybrid work model with its innovative Work Styles program, giving team members the flexibility to work from wherever they’re most effective; however, this also meant finding a solution for a centralized, digital space that enables collaboration across the globe.

Enter Google Workspace.

TELUS is harnessing Google Workspace to empower over 100,000 team members to connect, create and collaborate toward a shared mission: a brighter, more sustainable future.

Using Google Workspace, TELUS employees can securely and seamlessly co-create and collaborate from any device, including on the company’s ambitious environmental initiatives—whether it’s upcycling preloved devices and repurposing for youth and seniors in need or occupying the largest LEED Platinum footprint in North America. And because TELUS approaches sustainability as a collective responsibility, results have come from all across the business: a 41-per-cent reduction in company-wide GHG emissions since 2010, and last year they generated and procured 138,651 MWh of renewable energy and recycled over 1,200 metric tonnes of e-waste.

In the office, at home, or on the go, TELUS team members are working together to make the company carbon neutral by 2030. And by using Google Workspace’s next-generation collaboration tools —Gmail, Chat, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet and more—each day, the TELUS team can work together to bring this shared mission to life.
