Record an episode or series on your TELUS Business Optik TV
Learn how to record a single episode or entire series plus tips on settings
You can record up to 6 programs simultaneously from anywhere at work on your TELUS Personal Video Recorder (PVR).
Record a single episode
Press
Guide
on your remote control
Highlight the program you wish to record
Press
Rec
or
Record
. A red dot will appear next to the item in the program guide
Record a series
Press
Guide
on your remote control
Highlight the program you wish to record
Press
Rec
or
Record
twice. A series record icon (3 red dots) will appear in the program guide
Note
: You can also set a recording while watching a program by pressing
Record
and a series by pressing
Record
again.
Customize recording settings
Extend your recording time
Your Business Optik PVR allows you to extend your recording time for programs that may start later or go over the allotted program time:
Press
pvr
on your remote
Select
Guide
to view upcoming programs or
Schedule
to view your already scheduled recordings
Select the program recording you want to extend
Select
Record Settings
Choose whether to apply settings to a single episode or to the entire series
Select the
Stop Recording
field
Select between 5 minutes to 3 hours past the scheduled end time
Save your new or updated settings
Keep recordings until you want to delete them
To protect your recordings from being deleted automatically:
Press
pvr
on your remote
Select
Guide
to view upcoming programs or
Schedule
to view your already scheduled recordings
Select the program you want to keep
Select
Record Settings
Choose whether to apply settings to a single episode or to the entire series
Select
SAVE UNTIL
Use the arrows to select one of the following:
Keep until space needed
deletes the program automatically when space is needed
Keep until I delete
stores the program until it is manually deleted
Select
OK
Change the time slot you want a program series to be recorded in
Press
pvr
on your remote
Select
Guide
to view upcoming programs or
Schedule
to view your already scheduled recordings
Select the program you want to change
Select
Record Settings
Choose whether to apply settings to a single episode or to the entire series
Select
TIME
Use the arrows to select the desired option and select
OK
To indicate whether first run and rerun of a series will be recorded
Press
pvr
on your remote.
Select
Schedule
to view your scheduled recordings
Select the program you want to specify
Select
Record Settings
Choose whether to apply settings to a single episode or to the entire series
Select
SHOW TYPE
Select
First run only
or
First run & rerun
