Enterprise Groups are a component of the TELUS Secure Business Service and are available for small- and medium-sized business customers managing more than one location with a TELUS Secure Business security system enabled.
Enterprise Groups allow customers to view the status and recent activity of multiple systems on one page using the TELUS Secure Business app or web portal.
Using the TELUS Secure Business web portal, you can set up and manage your Enterprise Groups, along with user codes, reports, notifications and schedules across one or more systems in a group.

How to set up users with on-site access to your security panel
To give a user on-site access to your security panel, you first need to set them up as a group user in your Enterprise Group and then the user can add their code to the security system locally.
: The user code only provides on-site access to your system’s panel. To grant users remote access to your system via the TELUS Secure Business web portal or app, you need to create a new group login (see below).

How to manage location access and permissions for users in my Enterprise Group
Select the account you want to use as the primary login (e.g. corporate office, headquarters) You need to create your first Enterprise Group under this account. The primary login will have administrator rights to manage the Enterprise Group
An Enterprise administrator can grant users access to multiple locations within your Enterprise Group. They can set which locations each user can access in the group. For example, the administrator can set up a user without access to any locations, where the user would just receive system notifications but wouldn’t be able to disarm systems
Enterprise users with location access need a user code. Once added through the Alarm.com TELUS Secure Business web portal, this user code is pushed to the alarm panel for each location where they will be granted access to panels, keypads or smart locks
Add an email and/or phone number of the Enterprise user so they can receive email/text notifications (e.g. alarm notifications, open/close email alerts)
If you set a user up with a user code for a single security system, you cannot use that same code across multiple locations. You would first need to delete the user from the individual location and then set them up as a user in your Enterprise Group
Here’s how to remove users from a single system and add them to your Enterprise Group:
What is an Enterprise Group login and how do I set one up for a new user?
To grant users remote access to specific security systems in your Enterprise Group, you need to set them up with a username and password (i.e. group login). With their group login, users can manage the

When creating Enterprise Group logins, you can set users up with different permissions. For example, you can permit a user in your Enterprise Group to only add or remove employees, but prohibit them from modifying any other information.

How do I create new group logins for users and configure their role-based access and permissions via the web portal?

Here’s how to create or add an existing user’s login to your Enterprise Group and then set their role and permissions:

Description
Administrator
If you're an Administrator, you can manage the locations within the Enterprise Groups you have access to.
Full control
If users have full control, they can control and manage all devices. They can also access most functionality in the TELUS Secure Business web portal and app that is available to the primary account login for each location in the Enterprise Group. Users cannot manage website logins and they can’t receive certain types of account notifications that get sent to the primary account login. They also don’t have the ability to manage the Enterprise Group or change group level settings.
Read only
If users have read-only access, they are able to see most of the website pages and settings for each of the locations in the Enterprise Group, but they cannot manage TELUS Secure Business web portal logins or make any changes to account settings, arming state, or device status. They also won't be able to view saved videos.
Custom logins
When you create a user's login, you can set them up with a custom role and the exact permissions you want. Select from the permission types and choose the level of control for the user (read-only or full-control access). Your custom permissions will apply to each location in your Enterprise Group. These permissions can be updated or changed at any time.
Note
: If you set up custom permissions for a user's login, they will be able to view additional TELUS Secure Business web portal and mobile content not covered below. This includes system status, system history, their own passwords and settings, and the system equipment list.
Group Access
After selecting a role for the user’s login, you’ll will need to decide which groups they can have access to. You can either select
All Groups
or
Some Groups
, where you’ll be prompted to select from a list of your Enterprise Groups.

When do I set up user access to be location-specific versus Enterprise-wide?
Your business needs will help you determine how to set up user access with your Enterprise Group. Some staff may need access to all locations, while others should have restricted access to specific sites. The two scenarios below provide examples of when to give employees access to specific locations versus all locations within the Enterprise Group.
In this scenario below, we show how various managers can be given different levels of access to specific locations.
Scenario 1
The business owner has eight restaurants and each restaurant has its own manager and staff. There are also two regional managers. The owner wants to give regional managers full oversight and access controls to all locations while limiting the restaurant managers to control access and staffing at their specific location.
In such a case, we recommend that the owner and regional managers be given logins to the Enterprise Group and have their user profiles created at the Enterprise level. With Enterprise-level access, they can manage all locations and be given access to all devices within the group based on the login’s permissions.
The owner or regional manager can then give individual restaurant managers login access to their specific location so they can manage their staff at the single-system level. The owner or regional managers can still make changes to any location and the restaurant managers will not be able to override any changes they make.
Scenario 2
In this scenario below, we show how to set up users when employees access may change frequently.
The business owner manages eight warehouses. They don’t have a lot of staff but they do have a network of 30 drivers that may need access to one or multiple sites at any given time.
In such a case, we recommend setting up the drivers' user profiles at the Enterprise level. Since the drivers may need access to multiple sites at a time, if the owner grants them Enterprise-wide access, drivers would then be able to access different warehouse locations in just a few clicks. We recommend limiting the number of single-system users to avoid mistakenly duplicating users and credentials. For this type of scenario, it isn’t uncommon for just the default administrator (in this case, the business owner) to have full access and control over most of the locations.
