How to order an On Demand program using a remote control or computer

Before you begin, you need a
Purchase PIN
.

Order an On Demand program on your TV

  1. Press the
    On Demand
    or
    Video On Demand
    button on your remote control

  2. Select a category in the main menu

  3. Use the right arrow to browse the desired category

  4. Use the arrows to browse titles

  5. Select the desired title. Press
    OK

  6. Select
    Order options
    . A pop up window will display the video quality options for which you qualify

  7. Select the version you want to order. Your movie will begin to play

Watching a rented On Demand program

  1. Press
    On Demand
    on your remote to view your current rentals

  2. Use the arrows to select the
    My Videos
    folder

  3. Use the arrows to enter
    My Rentals

  4. Select the movie you would like to watch and select
    OK

  5. Select
    Watch
    to start playing the movie. Watch your rentals as many times as you want within the rental period (48 hours for most rentals)

Redeeming On Demand coupons

To view active On Demand coupons, you can visit the
Deals | Coupons
section in the On Demand menu.

There you can learn about your coupon value, expiry date, how to redeem the movie and much more. To access the Deals | Coupons section, press the
On Demand
button on your remote and scroll down to the deals and coupons section in the main menu.

To redeem your coupon

  1. Press the
    On Demand
    or
    Video On Demand
    button on your remote control

  2. Select a category in the main menu

  3. Use the right arrow to browse the desired category

  4. Use the arrows to browse titles

  5. Select the desired title. Press
    OK

  6. Select
    Order options
    . A pop up window will display the video quality options for which you qualify

  7. Select the version you want to order. Your movie will begin to play
    Note
    : When redeeming an On Demand coupon you will see a price displayed. You will not be charged when ordering On Demand programming that is of equal or lesser value to your coupon. You can order On Demand programing that is of greater value than the coupon. The coupon value would be deducted off the total price. The On Demand coupon will be applied and reflected in your next TELUS bill. Coupons can only be used once and will automatically apply to the first Video On Demand content watched after the coupon becomes available. Any remaining value will be forfeited.

  • You can switch between
    Poster view
    and
    List view
    . While viewing a category, select
    Display style
    to change views, and press
    OK

Early Home Premieres FAQ

1. How can I tell which titles are Early Home Premieres?
You can find these titles in the Optik On Demand storefront, marked with a pink “Early Home Premiere” banner.
2. Why do these rentals cost more?
They’ve been made available to rent months earlier than usual. While you’d normally have to go to a theatre to catch these films, you can now watch them from the comfort of home, for less.
