Your Actiontec T3200M wireless gateway includes a preconfigured Wi-Fi network. The name (SSID) and password of your Wi-Fi network are printed on a label affixed to the side of your wireless gateway.

To configure a customized and secured Wi-Fi network:
- Connect your computer directly to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
__OR__
- Connect your gateway over your preconfigured Wi-Fi network.

If you would like to change the default network name and password, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Web browser and enter the address **http://192.168.1.254/** in the address bar
2. On the gateway’s login page, enter the **administrator’s username and password** (this information is found on your modem)
3. On the next screen, select **Wireless Setup**. You will be redirected to the **Basic Settings screen**
4. Change the **SSID Name,** entering a customized network name or that of the old equipment you have just replaced. This will save you from having to reconfigure all of your wireless devices for the new work
5. Select the **Use Custom Key/Passphrase** box, then clear the corresponding text box.
6. Next, enter the desired password or that of the old equipment you have just replaced (8 to 63 characters).
7. Select **Apply**

It should take around 30 seconds to apply the new settings. If you are using the credentials from your old equipment, your devices should automatically recognize them and connect to the network. If you are using new credentials, you will have to connect your devices to the new customized network.

__Notes__:

- Restarting or resetting your modem may only provide a temporary fix to your problem, if you find the issue reoccurs [contact us](https://www.telus.com/en/business/small/contact-telus) in order for us to find and fix the root cause of your problem

Your Actiontec **T1200H or T2200H** wireless gateway includes a preconfigured home Wi-Fi network. The name (SSID) and password of your Wi-Fi network are printed on a label affixed to the side of your wireless gateway.

To configure a customized and secured Wi-Fi network, and connect to the Internet wirelessly, follow these steps using a wired Internet connection:

1. Open your Web browser
2. Enter the following in the address bar: **192.168.1.254**
3. Press the **Enter** key on your keyboard to display the __Home Screen__
4. To launch a session, enter the following information:
    - Username: **admin**
    - Password: The password is printed on the side of your gateway under **GUI Access** (unless you have changed it)
5. Select **Login** to display the **Welcome** screen
    - If this is the first time you have logged into your gateway, you will be asked if you would like to change your password
6. On the next screen, select **Wireless Setup** to display the **Basic Settings** screen
7. Complete the following fields:
    - Wireless Radio: Select **Enable**.
    - SSID Broadcast: Select **Enable**
    - SSID Name: The name you and others will see when searching for your wireless network
    - Security: For enhanced security, __WPA/WPA2__ is recommended
    - WPA Type: Select **WPA or WPA2 Personal**
    - Encryption: Select **All**
    - Security Key Type): Select **Use Custom Passphrase,** clear the corresponding text box, then enter your desired password (between 8 and 63 characters). 

    **Note:** Your password must consist of letters, numbers or a combination of both.
8. Select **Apply**
9. Reconnect your devices to your new customized network

2. Enter the following in the address bar: **192.168.1.254**
3. Press the **Enter** key on your keyboard to display the __Home__ screen
4. To launch a session, enter the following information:
    - Username: **admin**
    - Password: **The default password is the serial number of the gateway, printed on the side of the gateway** (unless you have changed it)
5. Select **Login** to display the **Welcome** screen
6. Select **No**, then **Apply** to display the __Home__ screen
7. On the next screen, select **Wireless Setup** to displau the **Basic Settings** screen 
8. Complete the following fields:
    - Wireless Radio: Select **Enable**
    - SSID Broadcast: Select **Enable**
    - SSID Name: The name you and others will see when searching for your wireless network
    - Security: For enhanced security, __WPA/WPA2__ is recommended
    - WPA Type: Select **WPA or WPA2 – Personal**

To configure a customized and secured Wi-Fi network, and connect to the Internet wirelessly, follow these steps using a wired Internet connection:

1. Open your Web browser
2. Enter the following in the address bar: **192.168.1.254**
3. Press the **Enter** key on your keyboard to display the **Home** screen
4. To launch a session, enter the following information:
    - Username: **admin**
    - Password: **telus** (unless you have changed it)
5. Select **Login** to display the **Welcome** screen
6. On the next screen, select **Wireless Setup** to display the **Wireless** screen
7. Complete the following fields:
    - Wireless Network Name (SSID): The name displayed when searching for your wireless network
    - Security Mode: For enhanced security, __WPA-PSK__ is recommended
    - Clear the __Generate Password Automatically__ check box
    - Password: Clear the text box, then type your desired password (8 to 63 characters)

    **Note:** Your password must consist of letters, numbers or a combination of both.
8. Select **Apply**

To configure a customized and secured Wi-Fi network, you have the following options:
- Connect your modem over your preconfigured Wi-Fi network.
- Connect your computer directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable.

If you would like to change the default network name and password, follow these steps:
- Launch your web browser and enter the address, __http://192.168.1.254/__,  in the address bar.
- On the modem’s login page, enter the administrator’s username and password (this information is found on your modem).
- On the next screen, select __Wi-Fi__. You will be redirected to the __Wi-Fi Home__ screen.
- Change the SSID Name: Enter a customized network name or the network name of the old equipment you’ve just replaced. 
__Note__: Using your existing network name will save you the work of reconfiguring all of your wireless devices for the new network.
- Click __Save__. 

It should take around 30 seconds to apply the new settings. If you're using the credentials (same network name and password) from your old HSIA modem, your devices should automatically recognize them and connect to the network. If you're using new credentials, you will have to connect your devices to the new customized network.
