The fall detection feature uses motion technology guidelines like algorithms and sensors to help detect the occurrence of a fall. It is usually more accurate when the device is worn with the provided lanyard on your chest over clothing. If the device detects a fall, it will trigger an alert and the device will be connected to our assistance tool and then to an operator if needed. The operator will then can dispatch emergency services and/or contact your emergency contacts if needed. In some instances, the fall detection feature might not detect all falls. If you do fall, do not wait for the call; always press and hold the button for help when possible. The device includes an alarm cancelling feature so that if you don't need assistance, you can tell the operator when asked.
TELUS Health Medical Alert Pendant operates anywhere in Canada where cellular coverage is available. GPS capabilities are approximate and may not always be possible.
Offers and regular pricing are subject to change without notice. Offers available to new customers who order TELUS Health Mobile Medical Alert Pendant or LivingWell Companion Home plans. For customers signing up on a 12-month term, there is $15/month ongoing savings on TELUS Health Medical Alert (regular no term price is $75/month) and LivingWell Companion Home (regular no term price is $55/month). If you are an existing TELUS Mobility or Home Solutions customer, you can save $10/month on either a 1-year term or month-to-month pricing on both TELUS Health Mobile Medical Alert Pendant or LivingWell Companion Home plans by using promo code THANKYOU10 when placing an order online or by phone. A cancellation fee may apply for early termination of the service agreement, equal to $15 multiplied by the number of months remaining in the service agreement, except in Quebec, where it cannot exceed $50. Equipment must be returned in good condition upon cancellation of service, otherwise a replacement cost will be charged to the account.
TELUS Health Medical Alert has an IP67 water resistant rating and can be worn in the shower. It should not be submerged and should be towel-dried after exposure to water.
