Internet Troubleshooting: Congrats. You have attained your plan's speed

Here are a few things you can do to increase the performance of your Wi-Fi

If your Internet connection meets your plan's current speed but you'd like to take advantage of a boost, there are a few things you can do to increase it.

1. Devices
If you have an older device or a device with outdated drivers, you can update the drivers on your device and/or upgrade to a newer device. For more details, please contact your device manufacturer.

2. VPN/Firewall
You may experience a slower Internet speed if you have a firewall or VPN enabled. Try turning them off to increase your speed.

3. Pause download/upload
If you have one or more programs downloading or uploading files, you can experience slower Internet speed. Try pausing those programs and check for an improvement.

4. Time of day
During some part of the day, there may be multiple people in your household using the Internet, especially if they are streaming, downloading or uploading files at the same time. Use the
TELUS My Wi-Fi app
to pause the Internet on specific devices.

5. Some websites
If you're experiencing slow speeds while visiting a specific website, but others are loading fine, the problem is with the website and not your Internet connection. The website is likely experiencing technical issues. We recommend waiting some time before checking again.

If you find you are still experiencing Internet speed issues,

If your household uses the Internet for such things as streaming HD/4K video, downloading large files or using back-up services, you may need a plan that delivers higher speeds. If so, please see our available
