We currently offer emergency support services in English and French. Our Medical Alert Operator team works with a translation service to provide support in over 240 languages, if needed.
Yes, but only if you call in to talk to a service representative — we need to confirm that you are a legal guardian.
Or, if you are not an authorized caregiver, you can bill the plan under your name and have the device(s) shipped directly to your loved one(s).
Just remember to put their address and contact information in for the service address and that you need to be authorized prior to sharing any of their personal information.
You will need to provide at least 2 (up to 3) emergency contacts and their phone numbers.
If you're an existing TELUS customer calling in, we’ll ask for your account number and security PIN number.
If you're new to TELUS, we'll have to do a credit check to open up an account for you. Please have 2 of these ready:
- health card
- driver’s license
- or social insurance number

Offers available to new customers who order LivingWell Companion Go, LivingWell Companion Home with Fall Detection feature, and LivingWell Companion Home plans. For customers signing up on a 12-month term, there is $15/month ongoing savings on LivingWell Companion Go (regular no term price is $65/month), LivingWell Companion Home with Fall Detection feature (regular no term price is $55/month) and LivingWell Companion Home (regular no term price is $45/month.). A cancellation fee applies to the early termination of your LivingWell Companion service agreement. A cancellation fee may apply for early termination of the service agreement, equal to $15 multiplied by the number of months remaining in the service agreement, except in Quebec, where it cannot exceed $50. Equipment must be returned in good condition upon cancellation of service, otherwise a replacement cost will be charged to the account.
LivingWell Companion Home pendant: Water-resistant (IP67); can be worn in the shower or bath, suitable for extended and continuous water submersion but only up to a 1 meter depth and 30 minutes maximum.
TELUS Health Medical Alert has an IP67 water resistant rating and can be worn in the shower. It should not be submerged and should be towel-dried after exposure to water
The fall detection feature uses motion technology guidelines like algorithms and sensors to help detect the occurrence of a fall. It is usually more accurate when the device is worn with the provided lanyard on your chest over clothing. If the device detects a fall, it will call an operator who can dispatch emergency services and/or contact your emergency contacts if needed. In some instances, the fall detection feature might not detect all falls. If you do fall, do not wait for the call; always press and hold the button for help when possible. The device includes an alarm cancelling feature so that if you don't need assistance, you can tell the operator when asked.
