Setting up Amazon Prime through My TELUS
Once successfully signed up for Amazon Prime in an Optik TV package, customers will receive an email from TELUS with instructions on how to set up an Amazon Prime account. Follow the instructions and sign in to the page.

- Enter your name, email and desired password.
- A One Time Password (OTP) will be emailed to you. Enter the OTP on the next page to complete the account setup. You will also receive an email from Amazon which confirms you have successfully activated your Amazon Prime membership with TELUS.
Interim sign-up solution for customers with an active Amazon Prime membership
If you have an existing Amazon Prime membership, you will not be able to activate your subscription to Amazon Prime through TELUS. However, you can enjoy the Amazon Prime Video app on the 4K Wireless Digital Box on channel 424, or by pressing the

What are the requirements to access the Prime Video app on Optik TV?
To use the Prime Video app, make sure you are:
- Using a 4K Wireless Digital Box or a TELUS TV Digital Box (regular HD digital boxes do not have the Prime Video app due to technical limitations). Examples of the compatible boxes are pictured below, and 4K Digital Boxes are marked4Kon the front of the box.

How do I exit or de-register my Optik TV digital box with the Prime Video app?
- To exit the Prime Video app without signing out: Press the back or back/exit button and return to the channel you were previously watching.
- To exit and sign out of Prime Video app: When in the Prime Video app and browsing through the Prime Video library, navigate toSettingslocated on top of the page and selectDeregister your device. Then click on theDeregister devicebutton on screen. You will be required to sign in and register the Optik TV digital box when next time you launch the Prime Video app.

This is because the email address used to set up the Amazon Prime account through your Optik TV subscription is associated with an active Prime membership, as a result you are unable to transfer this Prime account to your Optik TV subscription.

If I move, does this impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
No. As long as your Optik TV service continues at your new address. If Optik TV is not available at your new address, you’ll receive an email from Amazon Prime to update your payment method.
If I downgrade or disconnect my Optik TV services, how will it impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
If you downgrade your Optik TV to a package that does not include the Amazon Prime theme pack or disconnect your Optik TV service, your Prime membership will be automatically cancelled. To continue your Amazon Prime membership, please visit and directly sign up for Amazon Prime to continue enjoying the benefits.
