: Performing a factory reset will reset your Smart Hub back to factory default settings and any personalized changes, such as changes to your APN settings, network or Wi-Fi configurations will be erased.

Remove the back cover of the unit
Locate the reset button. It should be on top of the battery’s location
Using a small object, such as a pin, a needle or an earring, press the reset button until the lights on the Smart Hub start flashing. You can release the pressure
The unit will reboot. The reset process will last about 2 minutes
It will reset the username and password for the network to default. Make sure to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network using the information on the label, if needed

On the back of the unit, where you can locate all the cable connections, you will find the reset button on the right side

TELUS Smart Hub Indoor Unit (IDU) - ZTE MC8010CA
On the bottom of the unit next to the SIM, lift the plastic covering above Reset and the image of the SIM.
With the device powered on, insert a paperclip, pin, needle, or something similar into the reset button and hold until the lights change.
Release the reset button and wait while the unit reboots, about 60 seconds for the lights to return.
This will reset both the wifi and admin site login username and passwords back to default located at the bottom of the Indoor Smart Hub unit. Please make sure to reconnect using the default Wifi network name and password found on the bottom of your indoor smart hub unit, if needed.

To access the reset hole, there is a cover on the bottom of the unit that will need to be removed. You will need a Philips-head (star) screwdriver or the allen key that came with the device. This cover is also what holds the ethernet cord in place so that the device does not power off.
Once the bottom is open, please hold on to the ethernet cable while completing the reset.
Insert a paperclip, pin, needle, or something similar into the reset button/hole and hold for approximately 10 seconds until the lights change.
Release the reset button and wait for all the lights to come on again.
Re-assemble the cover.
This will reset any network (5G/LTE) and APN settings, but it will not reset your Wi_fi username and password (to reset the Wi-Fi settings, will need to be reset it on the TELUS Wi-Fi Hub).
