Getting started with your TELUS TV Digital Box

You must sign in to your Google account to the Google Play Store and be able to download apps onto your TELUS TV Digital Box. If you do not have a Google account, you can learn more about getting one at

support.google.com

If you are not automatically logged into your TV app during the first installation, you may need to log in manually using your My TELUS or Koodo username and password. Please visit

telus.com/MyTELUS

or

Koodo Mobile

to get your username and password if you’ve forgotten it.

Make sure everything is included in the box that you received and that you also have the equipment and tools required to start setting up your TELUS TV Digital Box.

The TELUS TV Digital Box runs on the Android TV operating system, and comes with all of the features of Google’s Android TV platform including Google Assistant, Chromecast Built In and access to the Google Play Store.

Featuring a custom designed user interface and home screen, the TELUS TV Digital Box allows you to search and access all of your content in one place.

The TELUS TV Digital Box comes preloaded with apps from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. Recommended apps available for download during the first-time installation include Disney+, hayu and Stingray Music. Sign in with your Google account to access the Google Play Store, featuring 1000s of apps available for download.

Your TELUS TV Digital Box has an LED on the underside of the box at the front. The colour of the light and whether it is solid or flashing indicate different states that the box is in.

If the LED is not illuminated, the TELUS TV Digital Box is either unplugged or in deep standby mode. Press the power button on the TELUS Remote to power the box on.

If the LED is illuminated a solid blue colour, the TELUS TV Digital Box is in stand-by mode. Press the power button on the TELUS Remote to power the box on.

A flashing blue LED indicates that the box is either waking up or is undergoing a factory reset.

If the LED is illuminated a solid white colour, the TELUS TV Digital Box is powered on. The LED will blink once to acknowledge that a button on the TELUS Remote has been pressed.

A flashing white LED indicates that the box is undergoing a software upgrade.

The TELUS remote gives you more control of your TV. Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, you no longer need to point your remote directly at the TELUS TV Digital Box. Google Assistant allows you to control your TV with your voice, the sleek new design features back-lit keys for easier use in the dark, and direct launch buttons for the Netflix and Amazon Prime Video applications.

Your TELUS TV Digital Box features the following buttons:

turn on Bluetooth pairing using the Bluetooth button on the side of the unit. You can also connect Bluetooth accessories from the Home screen by navigating to .

Your TELUS TV Digital Box features the following inputs:

optionally connect your TELUS TV Digital Box to other audio outputs using Optical audio or TOSLINK cables (not included). optionally connect your TELUS TV Digital Box to your internet access point with an ethernet cable (not included) for the most reliable connection. connect your TELUS TV Digital Box to your TV using the supplied HDMI cable. connect your TELUS TV Digital Box to a wall receptacle using the included Power Supply. you can choose to connect USB accessories such as keyboards to control your TELUS TV Digital Box using the USB input on the left-hand side of the unit.

If your TELUS TV Digital Box is unresponsive, you can factory reset the box manually by using a paperclip to press and hold the ‘Factory Reset’ button on the back of the box for a minimum of 5 seconds.

performing a factory reset will erase all data from your device’s internal storage, including your Google account, any app data and settings including stored usernames and passwords as well as any downloaded applications.
