TELUS XGPU on SoD Terms and Conditions

Effective as of February 01, 2024

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (“XGPU”) subscription .

. Games, features, and service vary over time, by region/platform, and may be retired. If a game is removed from catalog, you must buy the game to continue using purchased in-game content. Existing Game Pass and eligible subscriptions will be converted to Ultimate using a conversion ratio; conversions are final. Except as required by law, codes are nonrefundable. Subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement (

Minimum Requirements

To use XGPU, you must set up a MyTELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your XGPU subscription through TELUS. You are required to be a Canadian resident. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe.

Activation

Once you sign up to XGPU through MyTELUS and authenticate your account you will receive an activation email prompting you to activate your subscription. The steps to activate your subscription are outlined below:

  1. A link in the email will take you to MyTELUS, where you must create a MyTELUS account or log-in using their existing TELUS credentials.

  2. You must navigate to the "Subscriptions" page where you will see your XGPU subscription listed. You will need to click “activate subscriptions” under the XGPU product and then click "activate" for XGPU. Upon clicking on the activate button, you will be taken to the partner site to complete activation by either linking to an existing account or creating a new account. A. If you

    have existing accounts with Microsoft or Xbox, you must create an account. B. If you
    DO
    have an existing Xbox or Microsoft account, once you have activated your subscriptions (as detailed above) you must login to the partner site using your existing account information, which will link your existing account to your XGPU subscription. If you do not wish to link your existing Xbox account to your XGPU subscription, then you will have to create a new Xbox account for your XGPU subscription (as detailed above), both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.

Billing

Once you have subscribed to XGPU, your subscription fees will be charged to the credit card associated with your MyTELUS account every succeeding month until you cancel your XGPU Subscription through your MyTELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you, monthly charges can be viewed from your MyTELUS account.

Pre existing Subscription

If you have a pre-existing subscription to Xbox directly (i.e. a subscription billed directly by Xbox and not through a third party) using the same email address prior to signing up with TELUS, you may be able to link your existing account via the activation email sent by TELUS. Activation through TELUS will automatically pause your direct billing (applies to any subscription tier) and will resume when your agreement with TELUS ends.

If you have an existing subscription to XGPU from a third party (e.g., app store purchases, other billing partners), you will need to manage your subscription with that third party to avoid duplicate subscriptions. If you wish to keep your existing XGPU subscription through a third party, then your XGPU subscription and that third party subscription will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.

Cancellation

You are able to cancel your XGPU subscription with TELUS at any time through your MyTELUS account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. If you are a Quebec subscriber, you’re able to cancel at any time and cancellation will be effective immediately. TELUS may also cancel your XGPU subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these Terms or any applicable law by you. Additionally, Microsoft may cancel your subscription to XGPU at any time in accordance with Microsoft’s applicable terms of use. No refund will be given in case of revocation.

Once your XGPU subscription is canceled, if you had a pre-existing XGPU subscription that was paused when you activated your XGPU subscription, your previous subscription and billing directly with the related provider will then resume. After you cancel your XGPU subscription with TELUS, it is your responsibility to manage any subscription to XGPU that is billed directly by Xbox or via a third party.
