How to transfer ownership of your TELUS Internet, TV, Home Phone and SmartHome Security services.

You will need to be logged into My TELUS before you can start this process. Once you log in, return to this page section and you will see a form you can fill out to request a transfer of ownership.
Home Services can only be transferred to residents of the same address, whether they are an existing TELUS customer or a new customer. For example, if you have a roommate who would like to continue to use TELUS Home Services after you’ve moved out.

If you have multiple services, you won’t be able to transfer one and keep the others.
TELUS SmartHome Security
TELUS SmartHome Security can be transferred separately from the Home Services listed above.
ADT Security
While ADT Security services can be transferred, you will not be able to do so via the form on this page, and will instead need to
. When ADT Security services are transferred over, they are automatically converted into a TELUS SmartHome Security plan.
Note:
You can only transfer one set of services, and one address, with a single form submission. For example, if you need to transfer your Home Services (Internet, TV, Home Phone) and your SmartHome Security services, you will need to submit the form twice, once for each.

Critical information on eligibility and the transfer process
To better prepare yourself, and make your transition a smooth one, here's what you'll need to know before you get started:
Information for the outgoing owner
Only the account holder can initiate the transfer of ownership request. If you are an authorized user on the account, you will need to ask the account holder to start the request

A transfer of ownership cannot be initiated if your account is flagged for possible fraud by TELUS Fraud and Security
Your TELUS account must be in good standing, and your account balance must be up to date. If your account is past due for less than 90 days, please log in to

A transfer of ownership cannot be initiated if the account or services are suspended or cancelled
The incoming owner must complete the transfer of ownership within 30 days after the outgoing owner provides the permission to transfer. If the incoming owner does not complete the transfer within 30 days, the services will remain with the outgoing owner, who will continue to be responsible for them
You will remain responsible for all usage and possible charges until the transfer of account ownership is successfully completed by the incoming owner
If you have other services on the account that are not part of the transfer of ownership request, you will remain responsible for any billing and payments for that account and will continue to receive bill notifications
A final bill notification will be sent when the account is cancelled after the transfer of ownership has been successfully completed
Information for the incoming owner
For customers new to TELUS, a credit check will be required before approval
The incoming owner must complete the transfer of ownership within 30 days after the outgoing owner provides the permission to transfer
You cannot have, or have had a previous account with TELUS that was cancelled due to non-payment
Important information on telus.net email and voicemail inbox services

As a part of the process for transferring your Internet service, you will no longer be able to access your telus.net email(s) if you use them. When filling out the request form on this page, you will need to confirm that you agree to having your telus.net email(s) deactivated. If you would like to transfer your email address(es) to the incoming owner, you will not be able to use this form, and will need to
As a part of transferring your Home Phone service, you will no longer be able to access your voicemail if you use this service. You will be asked in the form below if you would like to deactivate your voicemail, or if you would like to transfer your voicemail to the incoming owner.
Note:
If you’re transferring your voicemail, the incoming owner will have access to all your previously saved messages and your greeting message.
Things to do and remember before transferring ownership
Once all the services are successfully transferred, your existing TELUS account will be cancelled automatically
Gift with Purchase or promotions and discounts:
The incoming owner can continue with the outgoing owner’s promotions and discounts. The incoming owner will be responsible for any cancellation fees related to Gift with Purchase once the transfer of ownership is completed successfully
Home Phone:
The telephone number, calling features including voicemail, long distance plan, blocking features and directory listing format will be transferred to the incoming owner
Internet:
The Internet plan, equipment, commitments and Gift with Purchase will be transferred to the incoming owner
TELUS TV:
All theme packs, combos, channels, equipment, commitments, Gift With Purchase, Video on Demand, Own On Optik and recordings will be transferred to the incoming owner
SmartHome Security:
The incoming owner must take the outgoing owner’s existing package and cannot upgrade or downgrade the service. If the incoming owner would like to upgrade or downgrade, they must agree to a new 36 to 60 month commitment
Student offers:
If there are any student promotions on the account, they can only be transferred if the incoming owner is a student as well
TELUS Rewards:
TELUS Rewards points are transferred based on eligibility of the incoming owner. An outgoing owner can redeem all their points before transferring the account or service. Once the transfer of ownership is completed, the outgoing owner will no longer have access to their points:
Steps for after you’ve submitted the form
Outgoing owner
Once your request has been approved, you will receive an email with further instructions
If your request is not approved, you will receive an email with further instructions
Incoming owner
You will receive an email with further instructions once the transfer has been approved
You will have 30 days from receiving the email to call us in order to complete the transaction

You will need to provide the following information when you call in:
Outgoing owner’s first and last name
Outgoing owner’s address (the address must be the same as the incoming owner’s)
