Managing Wi-Fi on ZyXEL VSG-1432

Steps to disable Wi-Fi on your Boost Wi-Fi when using a ZyXEL VSG-1432 modem.

These instructions explain how to disable the Wi-Fi network running in the background of your Boost Wi-Fi network through your Wi-Fi modem.

To disable your home Wi-Fi network, complete these steps:

  1. Connect to your modem's Wi-Fi network.

  2. Launch your web browser.

  3. Enter the following into the address bar:
    192.168.1.254

  4. From your keyboard, press the
    Enter
    (
    Return
    ) key. The admin login screen is displayed.

  5. To log in, enter the following information:

    • Username
      : admin

    • Password
      : printed on the side of the modem under GUI Access (unless you’ve changed it)

  6. The home screen is displayed. Select
    Wireless
    .

  7. Under the
    Wireless Network Setup
    section of the page, change the wireless field to
    Disable
    to turn off your Wi-Fi network.

  8. Select
    Apply
    to save your changes.
