Turn your mobile device into a Wi-Fi hotspot

Learn how to create a personal hotspot using your mobile phone.

You can use your iPhone or Android device as a Wi-Fi source, allowing you to connect computers and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices using your phone.

Important
:

  • Some of the TELUS Mobility plans, such as single-device plans, do not support mobile hotspot and tethering. Check your plan details before proceeding.

  • If your current plan does not support mobile hotspot, you will need to switch to a plan that does. You can
    explore all available plans
     to find one that suits your needs.

  • Data consumed on devices linked to your personal hotspot will count towards your plan’s monthly data allowance.

  • All Wi-Fi-capable devices which connect to your hotspot will require this password. It is recommended to use a password to prevent unauthorized access, which may result in additional data charges.
