Before you start, you will need:

- A new 12V lead acid battery (purchased online or through a local retailer)

To replace the batteries for your Legacy panel, please follow the instructions below:

1. Turn off and disconnect the power for the panel.
2. Remove the panel lid to the battery.
3. Remove the used lead-acid battery by detaching the white clip. Connect the new lead-acid battery using the same white clip.
4. Insert a new 12V lead-acid battery into the panel. Put the excess wires to the side of the battery into the panel. Put the excess wires to the side of the battery.
5. Re-attach the panel lid.
6. Turn the panel back on.
7. Test whether the replacement is successful by arming and disarming the panel. If the panel no longer says "low system battery," the replacement is successful.
8. Please dispose of the used lead-acid battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

3. Open the cover.
4. Insert a new CR123 battery into the device.
5. Close the cover.
6. Twist the CO detector clockwise to lock onto the mounting plate.
7. Do not press the test button as this may cause a false alarm which could result in fees for you. Instead, check on your panel or app to see if the low battery alert has cleared.
8. Please dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

Replacing the batteries for my AlarmForce equipment / Wireless carbon monoxide alarm 80 AF

Before you start, you will need:

- Two new CR2032 or CR2450 batteries (see below to determine which batteries are required. They can be purchased online or through a local retailer)
- Small flat-head screwdriver

To replace the batteries for your Door/window sensor 31AF, please follow the instructions below:

1. Remove your sensor and remove the case by twisting a small flat blade screwdriver in the top case slot (on the flat end of the sensor).
2. Remove the battery retaining screw.
3. Remove the battery clamp and original batteries from the device.
4. Replace with two new lithium batteries with the “+” side up. 
    - If you see a white ring around the batteries, you need two CR2032 lithium batteries.
    - If you do not see a white ring around the batteries, you need two CR2450 lithium batteries.
5. Replace the battery clamp and retaining screw.
6. Replace the case back onto the sensor. 
7. Please dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

1. Open your Glass Break Detector sensor case.

5. Close the sensor case.

Before you start, you will need:

To replace the batteries for your Key fob MKA-315, please follow the instructions below:

1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to open the back cover of the key fob.
2. Slide out the CR2032 battery and replace with a fresh battery.
3. Secure the back cover by using the two Phillips screws.

1. Remove the battery cover of the key fob by using a coin to turn counter-clockwise.
2. Insert a new CR2032 battery into the key fob with the unmarked side (negative) of the battery facing down.
3. Replace the battery cover by securing the cover using a coin to turn clockwise.

Put your TELUS Security system on test by either [contacting us](https://www.telus.com/en/support/contact-us#phone), or if you have access in your app, please put your own system on test.

To replace the batteries for your CO detector, please follow the instructions below:

1. Remove the detector from its mounting base by twisting the detector counterclockwise.
2. Remove the old battery. To ensure proper power-down sequence, wait a minimum of 20 seconds before installing the new battery.
3. Install a new 3-volt CR123A Lithium battery. Follow the polarity diagram inside the compartment. If the battery is incorrectly inserted, remove gently with a non-conductive tool and correctly reinsert.
4. Reinstall onto the mounting base by turning the detector clockwise.
5. After the power-up sequence, the green LED should blink about once every 12 seconds to indicate normal operations. If the battery is not installed correctly, the detector will not operate and the battery may be damaged.
6. Do not press the test button as this may cause a false alarm which could result in fees for you. Instead, check on your panel or app to see if the low battery alert has cleared.

1. To avoid any panic signals during the battery replacement process, make sure your system is disarmed.

4. Insert the replacement CR2032 lithium battery with the positive (+) sign facing up.
5. If you remove the circuit board (not recommended), ensure the LED aligns with the appropriate hole on the top cover.
6. Verify that the panic button is programmed into the control panel and ensure that it has quality radio frequency (RF) communications with the panel.

Replacing the batteries for my panel and sensors (before 2019) / Secondary analog keypad

To replace the batteries for your 2GIG panel battery, please follow the instructions below:

1. Before you begin, disarm and power down your panel.
2. Locate and remove the screw on the top of the keypad.
3. Gently pull down the front cover down. Do not let go of the cover when removing the front from the panel.
4. Locate the third hand (a plastic piece resembling an upside down “V”) and place it over the notch in the centre of the cover. This will allow the front cover to gently hold onto the panel.
5. Locate the green battery pack and remove the clip that connects the battery’s red and black wire to the circuit board.
6. Remove the original battery. You may use your flathead screwdriver to gently remove the battery from its place.
7. Insert the new 2GIG panel battery and plug back in the clip.
8. Unhook the third hand and close the cover. Press the cover to the panel shut until it snaps into place.
9. Replace the screws at the top of the keypad and let panel charge for 24 hours.

__Tools required__: A small to medium flathead screwdriver.

3. Insert the screwdriver into the slot on the other side of the plastic cover and repeat the procedure, and then remove the cover.
4. Insert a new CR2032  lithium coin battery at an angle while observing battery polarity and then press down on the battery.
5. Replace the cover and put the device back to its original position.
6. After restoring a low battery trouble, the system may take up to 5 minutes to clear the trouble signal.
7. Dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

5. Insert a new CR2450 lithium coin battery at an angle with the positive (+) side facing up. Press down on the battery until it fits into place.
6. Replace the cover and put the device back to its original position.
7. After restoring a low battery trouble, the system may take up to five minutes to clear the trouble signal.
8. Dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

2. If a screw was used to secure the sensor during the installation, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw at the bottom of the Motion Sensor by turning it counter clockwise. If not, proceed to the next step.
3. Press the bottom of the cover and separate the cover from the base of the device.
4. Remove the former battery replace with new CR123A battery in the device.
5. Replace the cover and put the device back to its original position.
6. Dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

2. Remove the sensor from its mounting base by twisting it counter-clockwise.
3. Remove the original batteries.
4. To ensure proper power-down sequence, wait a minimum of 20 seconds before installing the new batteries.
5. Install 3 new AAA batteries in the battery compartment. Pay attention to the polarity diagram inside the compartment. If the batteries are incorrectly inserted, please remove gently with a non-conductive tool and correctly reinsert.
6. Reinstall the sensor onto the mounting base by turning the sensor clockwise until the mating marks align.
7. After the power-up sequence, the green LED should blink about once every 12 seconds to indicate normal operation. If the batteries are not installed correctly, the sensor will not operate and the device will not power up.
8. Do not press the test button as this may cause a false alarm which could result in fees for you. Instead, check on your panel or app to see if the low battery alert has cleared.
9. Dispose of the used battery by contacting your local battery recycling programs.

5. Test the unit by momentarily pressing on the Transmit buttons - the LED should light up.
6. Replace the cover and attach it with the screw and screwdriver.
