If you have the Advanced Wi-Fi Modem (T3200M), you can create a guest network using the [__TELUS Connect app__](https://telus.com/telusconnect).

1. Download and log in to the app using your [__My TELUS__](https://telus.com/mytelus) credentials
2. Navigate to the __Wi-Fi__ tab
3. Scroll to the __Guest Wi-Fi__ section

5. To customize the network name and password, tap __Edit__

If you have the Actiontec V1000H/V2000H Modem, you can create a guest network.

To set up or modify your guest network, you need to log into your modem by entering **192.168.1.254** into the address ar of your web browser.

To log in to your modem, find the admin login information located on the sticker on the side of the modem. Enter the information in the username and password fields at the top right of the page.  

**Note**: If you have previously changed the default settings and can’t remember your password, you will have to **[reset your router to default settings](/support/article/reset-actiontec-v1000h-modem)**.

Once you have logged in, select the **Wireless Setup** tab at the top.

You will now be able to enable and customize your guest network settings.

  1. **Wireless Radio**: Enable 
  2. **Select SSID**: Select TELUS1234-**Guest**-2.4G (or 5G). The “1234” digits will differ according to your modem 
  3. **SSID State**: Enable 
  4. **SSID Guest**: Enable 
  5. **SSID Broadcast**: Enable 
  6. **SSID Name**: If you would like to create a custom network name for the guest network, you can customize it under the SSID Name section. Make sure the name has the words “ **Guest** ” on it for your reference. If you do not want to create a custom network name, leave this field as is 
  7. **Security**: WPA2 
  8. **WPA Type**: WPS2 
  9. **Encryption Type**: AES 
  10. **Security Key Type**: Select “Use Custom Key/Passphrase”. Then click on the textbox below and type in the password you would like to use for your guest network. It is recommended this password is not the same as your main network password 

When you are done, select **Apply** to complete the guest network setup.

To set up or modify your guest network, you will have to log into your modem. In order to do so, type in 192.168.1.254 into the address bar of your web browser.

Use the username and password fields at the top right of the page to log in. The username is **_admin_** and the password is **_telus_** unless you have changed the default settings. If you have previously changed the default settings and can’t remember your password, you will have to [**restore your router to default settings**](/support/article/reset-zyxelvsg-1432-modem).

Once you have logged in, click on the **Wireless** tab at the top.

On the **wireless settings page** , select the **Additional WLANs** tab.

Then, click on the icon under **Modify** on the right side of the page on the same line as Guest1 SSID. See the red box below.

On this page, you will be able to enable and customize your guest network settings.

**Wireless Network Setup**

  1. **Wireless:** Enable 
  2. **Wireless Network Name (SSID):** If you would like to create a custom network name for the guest network, you can customize it here. Make sure the name has the words “Guest” on it for your reference. If you do not want to create a custom network name, leave this field as is. 
  3. **Hide SSID:** Unchecked 
  4. **Client Isolation:** Checked 
  5. **MBSSID/LAN Isolation:** Checked 
  6. **Internet Only:** Checked 
  7. **Enhanced Multicast Forwarding:** Unchecked

**Security Mode**  

  1. **Security Mode:** Mixed WPA2-PSK/WPA-PSK 
  2. **Generate password automatically:** Unchecked 
  3. **Password:** Click on the textbox and type in the password you would like to use for your guest network. It is recommended this password is not the same as your main network password. 
  4. **Encryption:** AES 
  5. **Group Key Update Timer:** 1800 

When you are done, press “Apply’ to complete the guest network setup.
