What you’ll do

• Perform digital necropsies at client feedlot sites
• Collect samples
• Handle and deliver pharmaceuticals
• Assist with clinical procedures and regulatory work
• Scan and dry feed samples; conduct near infrared (NIR) feed analysis, and feed data collection and entry
• Complete office and data administration tasks
• Support other internal teams as required
• Demonstrate flexibility in day-to-day responsibilities

What you bring

• Experience working with cattle is an asset but not required
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to drive short to medium distances daily
• Some experience with computer software in a Windows environment
• Exposure to the agriculture industry and comfort with challenging work conditions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round
• Preparedness to work in a supporting role
• Physical capability to lift and push up to 50 lbs and work extended hours in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work beyond regular hours (9 AM - 5 PM) until tasks are completed, including weekends

Great-to-haves

• Knowledge of the industry’s best practices and current trends
• Familiarity with digital agriculture tools and technologies
• Certification or education in agriculture, veterinary medicine, or related fields

Additional Information

The regular hours for this role are 9 AM to 5 PM; however, candidates are expected to work until the daily tasks are completed, which might mean working past 5 PM on certain days. Please note that this role includes working on Saturday and Sunday.
