TELUS Decision Insight (DI), the market research division of TELUS Consumer Goods, is a leading shopper insights and retail strategy firm. We specialize in uncovering shopper behaviors and motivations for consumer goods manufacturers. Using technology-enabled research methods and predictive simulations, we develop future-focused insights into shopper behavior, attitudes, and motivations.

For more than 30 years, we have excelled in making proactive recommendations that lead to marketplace activation in areas such as innovation, packaging, category assortment, shelf arrangement, and eCommerce strategies. We were pioneers in online virtual shopping and continue to lead the field with impactful solutions!

What You’ll Do

  • Hunt for New Clients: Identify and develop new clients through proactive lead generation and qualification of prospects. Use your skills in both warm and cold outreach techniques to expand our customer base and drive significant business growth.
  • Understand Client Needs: Gain deep insights into client business issues and apply DI solutions to address their research needs, ensuring tailored and effective solutions.
  • Showcase DI Solutions: Demonstrate the value of DI solutions in client presentations, directly addressing their specific interests and needs.
  • Nurture Relationships: Grow and nurture current client relationships to ensure high client satisfaction, fostering loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Develop Winning Proposals: Craft research proposals that meet client needs, including timelines, funding, and study design, providing clear and actionable plans.
  • Deliver Impactful Findings: Present research findings and recommendations, delivering impactful and actionable outcomes to clients.
  • Drive Revenue: Own an annual revenue goal for assigned accounts, driving performance to meet and exceed targets.

What You Bring

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, including persuasive presentations and effective client correspondence.
  • Consultative Selling: Proven experience in consultative selling solutions, effectively addressing client needs and closing deals.
  • Market Research Expertise: Extensive experience in market research, providing valuable insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • CPG Knowledge: Deep understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), covering areas such as marketing, sales, and category management.
  • Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Professional Networking: Skills in nurturing a professional network to generate leads and expand business opportunities.
  • Creativity and Persistence: Demonstrates creative problem-solving and persistent strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Acknowledgment of Contributions: Ability to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of others, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Flexibility to Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as needed to develop business and meet with clients.

A qualified applicant would have at least a 4-year bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods working for a manufacturer, retailer, or research supplier.
