Muddy Boots by TELUS Agriculture started life developing software to enable growers and agronomists to manage their farms and crops. Now, twenty-five years later, we also work with some of the largest fresh produce retailers and food brands in the world giving them full visibility of their supply chains and are expanding into global markets. Excitingly, we are also now part of the TELUS Agriculture group which opens up many global opportunities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative will work remotely or in a local office and will be responsible for filling the top of the UK/European sales funnel. This will be done through a high rate of consistent calling and emailing to set up meetings for Business Development Managers (BDM’s). The desired candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in cold calling and is a great move for someone looking to get into a career in sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Fill the top of the sales funnel by queueing up meetings for Business Development Managers.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to identify industry-specific lists of potential customers to pursue.
  • Present, promote, and sell TELUS Agriculture services to prospective customers including but not limited to Muddy Boots software..
  • Build relationships with potential customers and quickly establish trust and rapport.
  • Report on relevant sales data including calls, emails, etc.
  • Leverage tools like phone, email, virtual meetings, etc to connect with potential customers.
  • Make use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build prospective leads lists.
  • Identify and achieve KPIs for the Inside Sales role.
  • Keep all customer and activity information live and up-to-date in Salesforce.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent at managing your own schedule and priorities.
  • Excellent at asking questions and performing discovery to uncover a prospect's pain points, determine buying criteria, and timeline.
  • Highly activity-oriented when it comes to number of communications sent (email, phone calls, etc)
  • Ability to generate interest from cold calling, emailing, etc in order to move to the next step in the sales process.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of TELUS Agriculture software platforms and hone in on specific solutions to solve specific customer needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while being a team player.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in inside sales or equivalent sales roles
  • Demonstrated track record of large volume of communication (emails, calls, etc) to prospects.
  • Must be equally comfortable talking to all levels in an organization
  • An interest in agribusiness companies – preferably agronomic service companies, fertilizer and crop protection retail companies, agricultural cooperatives and food companies.
  • Computer literate, ideally proficient in Google Suite applications, Virtual meetings tools, and any sales tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn or Sales Navigator.

Location- Raleigh, NC/Remote

Employment Type - Full Time

US Base Salary Range - $56K - $84K USD

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, we offer rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
