Dr. Adam Myers, MD, MHCM, passionately leads our TELUS Health Care Centres – a nationwide network of renowned medical professionals dedicated to preventive healthcare, inspiring positive lifestyle choices and helping to improve patient outcomes. In his role, Adam is focused on promoting health through prevention, precision medicine and proactive care. Having spent much of his career immersed in a healthcare ecosystem that prioritizes downstream care – including the treatment of disease with the goal of prolonging life – Adam shares TELUS Health’s commitment to promoting health, strategic technology-enabled innovation, collaborative partnerships, a culture of excellence and investment in social capital.Together with the skilled TELUS Health Care Centres team, Adam is committed to building the healthiest communities and workplaces possible, providing support for the patients we proudly serve.
Throughout his career, Adam has had the opportunity to work in nearly every component of healthcare delivery. As a trusted advisor, speaker and healthcare strategist, he has held executive leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield nationally, Cleveland Clinic, Texas Health Resources and Methodist Health System. His board roles have included the Joint Commission, Brightfocus Foundation, the Healthcare Cost Institute, Health Equity for Health Evolution, the Board of Sunrise Senior Living and the Committee for Clinical Leadership for the American Hospital Association. Adam is a family physician and obstetrician by training, who counts delivering thousands of babies among his greatest accomplishments. A longtime advocate for community health, health equity, value-based care, preventive medicine and patient safety, Adam’s goal each and every day is to create a better system of health for all.
Adam is a graduate of Centenary College, Louisiana State University Medical Center, and has a Masters in Health Care Management from Harvard University. He is board certified in Family Medicine, Quality Assurance, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Fellowship-trained in Advanced Obstetrics, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
