David Bassin
David is a results-oriented senior executive with over two decades of experience driving results in software, strategy, finance, corporate development, M&A, transformation, general management and operations.
As Senior Vice-President, Retirement & Benefits Solutions at TELUS Health, David leads the practice, providing software and outsourcing solutions to employers, associations, and government entities across North America. With a mandate to deliver the highest quality and most efficient products and services, David is laser-focused on having the customer at the centre of his decisions. Through both curiosity and innovation, David constantly delivers improved outcomes. Prior to his current role, David managed the Operations for TELUS Health, leading a team of 4,000 professionals internationally. He also led the Provider Solutions business, which includes the firm’s Pharmacy software, Electronic Medical Records software, and Virtual Pharmacy businesses.
Previously, at LifeWorks (now TELUS Health), David managed a team of over 1,500 professionals worldwide, directing the North American Health & Welfare and US Defined Benefit operations. David also built and led the firm’s growth strategy and corporate development teams, advising and integrating varied transformative and strategic acquisitions. Additionally, David managed the Financial Planning and Analysis team, which oversaw all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and metrics for the organization. Prior to LifeWorks, David worked in North America and abroad in management consulting, developing strategies for Fortune 500 clients across a variety of industries.
David holds an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Toronto. David also actively participates in both corporate and not-for-profit boards.
