TELUS Stream+ Basic and Premium Terms and Conditions

Stream+ Basic

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Stream+ Basic subscription, Stream+ Basic is a bundle of video streaming services which gives you access to three subscription services (the “Streaming Services”)

    Minimum Requirements

    To use Stream+ Basic you must set up a MyTELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your Stream+ Basic subscription through TELUS. You are required to be a Canadian resident and have at least one TELUS or Koodo product in order to be eligible to subscribe to Stream+ Basic. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe. If you cancel your TELUS or Koodo service, you can continue your Stream+ Basic subscription.

    You cannot access TELUS TV+ mobile app while on a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

    Activation

    Once you sign up for a Stream+ Basic through MyTELUS and authenticate your account you will receive four activation emails prompting you to activate your subscriptions with Disney+, Netflix, Amazon and TELUS Films & Series. The steps to activate your subscriptions to each of these Streaming Services are outlined below:

      Billing

      Once you have subscribed to Stream+, your subscription fee(s) owing will be charged to the credit card (that you added on your MyTELUS account) every succeeding month until you cancel your Stream+ Subscription through your MyTELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you, monthly charges can be viewed from your MyTELUS account.

      Any additional purchase you may make through the Disney+ service will be made directly through Disney+ and will not be chargeable through your MyTELUS account. For additional details, including on billing and changes, please refer to the
      TELUS Subscriptions Platform Terms of Use
      , which is part of agreement with TELUS.

      Pre existing Subscription

      If you have a direct-billed pre-existing subscription to Disney+, Netflix or Amazon (i.e., a subscription billed directly by Disney, Netflix or Amazon and not through a third party using the same email address) prior to signing up with TELUS, you may be able to link your existing account via the activation email sent by TELUS. Subject to the following paragraph regarding Disney+, activation through TELUS will automatically pause your direct billing (applies to any subscription tier) with the relevant Streaming Service and will resume when the relationship with TELUS ends.

      Disney+ only: If you already have a Disney+ direct-billed subscription for the same or a lower subscription tier, it will be automatically paused until your subscription via TELUS ends or changes to a lower subscription tier. If your Disney+ direct-billed subscription is for a higher Disney+ subscription tier (for example, you have Disney+ Standard or Disney+ Premium direct with Disney) than the Disney+ plan tier that is included in Stream+ Basic, you will not be able to link your pre-existing subscription. You will be required to manage your subscription with Disney+ before activating with TELUS to avoid being double-billed.

      If you have an existing subscription to a Streaming Service from a third party (e.g., app store purchases, other billing partners such as Rogers and Shaw), you will need to manage your subscription with that third party to avoid duplicate subscriptions. If you wish to keep your existing Disney+ subscription through a third party, then your Stream+ subscription and that third party subscription will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription. Netflix will allow you to link your subscription from a third party. If you have Amazon Prime, this is scenario isn’t applicable.

      Cancellation

      You are able to cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with TELUS at any time through your MyTELUS account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. If you are a Quebec subscriber, you’re able to cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit. TELUS may also cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation. The provider of a Streaming Service may cancel your subscription to this Streaming Service at any time in accordance with this provider’s applicable terms of use.

      Once your Stream+ Basic subscription is canceled, if you had a pre-existing Streaming Service subscription that was paused when you activated your Stream+ Basic subscription, your previous Streaming Service subscription(s) and billing directly with the related provider will then resume. After you cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with TELUS, it is your responsibility to manage any subscription to any Streaming Service that is billed directly or via a third party, if you would no longer like to maintain a subscription to any of those services or wish to make any change to your related subscription.

      If you are a Quebec subscriber, you're able to cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit.

      Stream+ Premium

      These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Stream+ Premium subscription, Stream+ Premium is a bundle of video streaming services which gives you access to three subscription services (the “Streaming Services”)

        Minimum Requirements

        To use Stream+ Premium you must set up a MyTELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your Stream+ Premium subscription through TELUS. You are required to be a Canadian resident and have at least one TELUS or Koodo product in order to be eligible to subscribe to Stream+ Premium. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe. If you cancel your TELUS or Koodo service, you can continue your Stream+ Premium subscription.
