Logging in to My TELUS with one-time passcodes (OTP)

A one-time passcode is a unique code sent to your email address at the time of login. It is used as an additional layer of security to verify your identity. It ensures that only you can log in to your profile, even if someone else has your password.

When logging in to

My TELUS

online (via mobile or desktop), you'll be prompted for a one-time passcode.

: OTPs are not required when logging in to the My TELUS app.

You can turn one-time passcode authentication on or off at any time by

enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)

Verification codes are numeric codes sent via text message, email‌ or another device to confirm an account holder's identity. They serve as a secondary authentication factor (SAF).

It may take up to two to five minutes to receive your verification code.

: Be sure to check your junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.

If you enter the wrong code five times, your account will be locked for a minimum of one hour. After this time, you can try logging in again. However, if you attempt to log in within the hour, you'll see a message stating, "It's been less than an hour since your last attempt to verify your profile. Please come back later to try again."

Once you’ve successfully verified your identity, you'll be directed to the page.
