Things to know about cancelling your TELUS Mobility services

Account-related information you need to know when cancelling your Mobility services

Here are some key things to consider before you cancel your services:

  1. You can find special offers and exclusive promotions on
    My TELUS
    self-serve. Check out our
    mobility plans
    to see if there’s a plan that’s perfect for you.

  2. You'll need to pay any outstanding bills and charges on your account:

    • Be sure to check for any additional charges on your account, such as TELUS Easy Payment® or Bring-It-Back™ charges. This can be found on
      My TELUS
      in the
      Plans & Devices
      section under the
      Device
      tab.

    • If you have a device contract under the Bring-It-Back program, you have the flexibility of leaving the program at any time by paying the full Bring-It-Back amount. Or, you can leave the program at any point after the first six months by bringing back your phone.

    • For customers on the TELUS Easy Payment plan, you'll need to pay off any remaining Easy Payment balance on your account. If you also have a device contract with Bring-It-Back, this would be in addition to settling your Bring-It-Back balance.
      Note
      : Clearing your Bring-It-Back program amount will not also clear your Easy Payment balance from your account.

    • If you were provided a
      device discount
      when you purchased your device and you decide to leave your contract early, you’ll need to pay back the discount balance for the remaining months of your service term, subject to any applicable adjustments.

  3. If you’re planning to move your number to another provider, keep your TELUS account open until the transfer is complete to avoid losing your number.

    • For customers with Bring-It-Back: If you move your number to another provider, your Bring-it-Back charges will automatically be added to your bill. You may still have the option to return your device through one of our TELUS stores or our customer service team.

  4. You'll be able to access your
    My TELUS
    self-serve for 90 days after you cancel your services. After this time you will not be able to access your account.
