TELUS Disney+ Subscription Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Disney+ Standard (“Disney+”) subscription with TELUS.

Disney+ is a video subscription service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Disney+ app or the disneyplus.com website. The Disney+ service, including all content, is provided by Buena Vista International, Inc. (“Disney”). Your use of Disney+ is subject to the
Disney+ Subscriber Agreement
, available at disneyplus.com/legal/subscriber-agreement, which is an agreement between you and Disney. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Disney+ through TELUS. You acknowledge that your use of the Disney+ service is subject to The Walt Disney Company Privacy Policy and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Canada, available at disneyplus.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Minimum Requirements

To use Disney+ you must have a compatible device in accordance with the Disney Subscriber Agreement. You must set up a MyTELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your Disney+ subscription through TELUS. To subscribe to Disney+, you must be a Canadian resident and the age of majority or older in your province or territory to subscribe. If you cancel your TELUS service, you can continue your Disney+ subscription.

If you sign up for the
Disney 12 month promotional offer
, the following minimum requirements also apply, to be eligible to order Disney+ and through TELUS, you must be a new subscriber to FIFA TELUS internet service (month-to-month or 2-year term).

Activation

Once you sign up for a Disney+ subscription through MyTELUS and authenticate your account, you will receive an activation email prompting you to activate your subscription with Disney+. The steps to activate your subscriptions are outlined below:

  1. A link in the email will take you to MyTELUS, where you must create a MyTELUS account or log-in using your existing TELUS credentials.

  2. You must navigate to the “Subscriptions” page where you will see your Disney+ subscription listed. You will need to click “activate subscriptions”. Upon clicking the activate button, you will be taken to the Disney+ site to complete activation by either linking to an existing account or creating a new account. a. If you
    DO NOT
    have an existing account with Disney+ you must create an account. b. If you
    DO
    have an existing Disney+, once you have activated your subscriptions (as detailed above) you must login to the Disney+ site using your existing account information, which will link your existing account to your Disney+ subscription with TELUS. If you do not wish to link your existing Disney+ subscription, then you will have to create a new Disney+ account(as detailed above), both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.

Billing

Disney+ promotional offer

Once you have subscribed to Disney+, your subscription fees for the first 12 months will be at no cost to you if you qualify for a promotional offer as described below under “Promotions.” After the 12-month promotional period, the current in market retail Disney+ subscription rate plus applicable tax will be charged to the credit card that you added on your MyTELUS account. Your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged every succeeding month until you cancel your Disney+ subscription through your MyTELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you, monthly charges can be viewed from your MyTELUS account.

Disney+ no promotional offer

Once you have subscribed to Disney+, your subscription fee will be the current in market retail Disney+ subscription rate plus applicable tax, depending on the tier plan you choose , and will be charged to the credit card that you added on your MyTELUS account. Your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged every succeeding month until you cancel your Disney+ subscription through your MyTELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you, monthly charges can be viewed from your MyTELUS account.

Any additional purchase you may make through the Disney+ service will be made directly through Disney+ and will not be chargeable through your MyTELUS account.

Promotions

You may be eligible for Disney+ promotions through TELUS if you live in Alberta or British Columbia and are adding new TELUS FIFA Internet service (month-to-month or 2-year term) and are the age of majority or older in your province or territory.

The promotional offer will be for 12 months (“Promotional Offer Period”). Your Promotional Offer Period will start on the day you sign up for your Disney+ Subscription with TELUS. Unless you take action to cancel your subscription at least 1 day before your Promotional Offer Period ends, you acknowledge and agree that upon the ending of your Promotional Offer Period, you will be billed monthly at the current in market retail Disney+ subscription rate (plus applicable tax). You will be charged every succeeding month until you cancel your Disney+ subscription through your MyTELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below.

Pre existing Subscription

If you already have a Disney+ direct-billed subscription for the same or a lower subscription tier (i.e., Disney+ Standard or Disney+ Standard with Ads), it will be automatically paused until your subscription via TELUS ends or changes to a lower subscription tier. If your Disney+ direct-billed subscription is for a higher Disney+ subscription tier (for example, you have Disney+ Premium directly with Disney), you will not be able to link your pre-existing subscription. You will be required to manage your subscription with Disney+ before activating with TELUS to avoid being double-billed.

If you have an existing subscription to Disney+ from a third party (e.g., app store purchases, other billing partners such as Rogers and Shaw), you will need to manage your subscription with that third party to avoid duplicate subscriptions. If you wish to keep your existing Disney+ subscription through a third party, then your Disney+ subscription through TELUS and that third party subscription will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.

Cancellation

You are able to cancel your Disney+ subscription with TELUS at any time through your MyTELUS account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing period. TELUS may also cancel your Disney+ subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation, unless required by applicable law. Disney+ may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement.

Once your Disney+ subscription is cancelled with TELUS, if you had a pre-existing Disney+ subscription that was paused when you activated your subscription through TELUS, your previous subscription and billing directly with Disney will then resume. After you cancel your Disney+ subscription with TELUS, it is your responsibility to manage any Disney+ subscription that is billed directly or via a third party, if you would no longer like to maintain a subscription to the Disney+ service or wish to make any change to your related subscription.
