What you’ll do

As a P&C Business Partner at TELUS, you will support both our Health and Agriculture & Consumer Goods divisions, playing a pivotal role in our journey to become one global team. Reporting to the Director P&C Business Partner in Canada, you will collaborate with colleagues in the UK and abroad to deliver the People Plan. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, project manager, and change agent through influencing and supporting leaders across both divisions. You will seamlessly toggle between strategic decision making and operationalizing initiatives that foster positive change, team growth, and create an engaging workplace environment.

  • Act as a point of contact for business units in the EMEA region, partnering with local P&C Business Partners to implement optimal people solutions that solve business challenges. Work collaboratively with global Business Partners to achieve TELUS wide initiatives in our people plan. 
  • Balance various P&C priorities for local business leaders including lifecycle programs such as performance development, compensation, learning and development, recognition and employee relations.
  • Works with key stakeholders including P&C Business Partners, P&C Operations, and Legal to ensure people practices follow the applicable country employment laws.
  • Supports M&A transactions, including divestitures and coordinates integration of Centre  of Expertise (CoE) content and resources.
  • Proactively address people issues and design solutions by leveraging data to develop actionable insights and summarize those relevant to the region's success.
  • Guide and coach leaders in implementing relevant policies and practices

What you bring

  • Experience in understanding employment legislation for countries in the UK region.  Experience in other EMEA countries is an asset.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge and awareness of implementing P&C programs and services
  • High learning agility and adaptability
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Skilled in influencing and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient in analyzing data and developing actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with mid-level and senior level leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of equivalent work experience in People & Culture.  

Great-to-haves

  • Experience with M&A is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices in the UK and beyond. Experience working with international teams is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of HCM software systems and applications like SAP or Workday.
